Large Ringed Donut

Did I mention before that I have back pain and it is affecting my left leg as well? If I did then… I want you (I don’t know who I am talking to *laughs nervously*) to know that I’m going to do Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedure tomorrow.

Honestly, I never thought my pain would be this scary. I thought a pack of painkillers would actually kill the pain. But four weeks passed and the pain is excruciating as ever.

The last time I saw my doctor, Dr. K (not Dato’ K #malayjokes), he suspected my spine is somehow dented and it affected the nerve circulation of my left leg. That is how much I understand his explanation because believe me, he almost made me a doctor by saying all those medical terms.

In the end, he suggested to go through MRI and see if his suspicion is true. I agreed to it because this pain is starting to bother me. I am pretty much a chill person, so I don’t really care if I’m ill or in pain because I believe, it will all go away eventually, after numerous amount of sleep. However this time round, I am not so sure.

My conversation with Dr. K went like this,

Dr. K:  So, how are you feeling girl? (Flipped through my medical report)
Me:      Uhhh, been the same for the past four weeks I think.
Dr. K:  Sigh. Poor you… You’re 24 but your leg’s condition is 84.
Me:      Ha. Ha. My grandmother said the same thing!
Dr. K: Okay. Now let’s do some leg exercise.

Which I didn’t do well. Apparently.

Dr. K: How much do you know about spines?
Me: Nothing. (I decided to be honest here)
Dr. K: Ahh… of course. You are an engineer.

He smirked. Sigh. I shouldn’t have told him.
He went on explaining about the spines, the nerves, muscles and so on, for about 5 minutes.

Dr. K:  But that was just what I suspected. I suggest it’s better to do MRI to confirm this. Do you have any question?
Me:      I won’t ask you how much will it cost, you can tell that to my mother but when do I do this thing?
Dr. K:  As soon as possible. I will ask the nurse to check the availability with the scanning department.
Me:      Uuuuuh... It’s not scary right?
Dr. K:  Naaahh, it’s just like going through a large ringed donut.

I just nodded. But the thing is… I’ve never been through a donut. Has anyone ever?

Ps. By any chance anyone read this, please pray for me #patheticme #thankyou

It's Okay

It is okay,
To hold my hand,
To embrace me in your arms,
To kiss me on the forehead.

It is okay,
To walk with just the two of us,
To gaze into each others eyes,
To talk over the phone till late night.

It is okay,
You can touch my hair,
You can pinch my cheeks,
You can do whatever you want.

Nothing is wrong…

The both of us are going to get married anyway.

*                      *                      *

My heart goes to all couples out there that are bound in a relationship other than marriage. As a Muslim at heart, I believe, each and every one of you knew what is right and what is wrong.

But why do you think nothing is wrong with this?

You probably did end up married to each other but remember those sins are still accountable in the Day of Judgement. You possibly did not marry to each other and all that’s left are just memories and regrets. That is haunting you for the rest of your life.

Then you blame the voices in your head, telling you that nothing is wrong. And after a while you believe the words are actually the words of the enemy, alluring you to sin. By just a simple sentence… it is okay.

When it is not.

Then you realize… if you ever realize, you can’t really blame the enemy… because you are the one who let him penetrate you. You are the one who let him win.

In A Rush

Last week, my Aussie-mates planned to have breakfast together on next Thursday, which is yesterday. I did not forget our plan but I was not fit to drive on that day. Because long story short, I injured my back and left leg. The pain is super-excruciating and I’m not kidding.

Yesterday morning, while I was wallowing in bed, I texted my mates on our whatsApp group telling them that I would not be able to come. Being lovely as always, NJ offered to pick me up and she was already on her way. I am about to text her back that “it’s okay! Maybe next time insyaAllah” but then it’s breakfast guys! Food! Plus, it’s been awhile since we last met heeeee.

A bit late to realize, I have to be ready in like less than 30 minutes!
I smelled my hair; I’ll just wash you tomorrow since I just washed you yesterday.
I smelled my ketiak and Maaahhhnn, let’s hit the showers!

Note: I was in a rush guys but I do take showers everyday haha.

It took me about 10 minutes to walk out of the bathroom and checked my phone.

I’m outside *insert smiling with blush emoji* - NJ texted.

GAAAAHHH!
Okay. Where’s my blouse?! Opened my luggage (I haven’t unpack my things yet)
and grab any new blouse, cut-off the price tag and swoosh!
Now, pants, pants, pants.
Whoa! Why now leg cramps?! *cries*

Knock! Knock!
“Kaaa! Your friend is here!” Babu yelled.
“Yeah, in a minute!” I said.
Not really.

Wore my hijab in less than 3 minutes and thank Allah for crumpled shawl! I don’t need to iron these materials. Grabbed my purse, kick on my Air-Max and out I go, meeting my Aussie-mates having a loud with laughter breakfast.

It’s been awhile really chatting with these pretty souls. Told them about my injury, they told me about their life. One of my mates, AM noticed my blouse and said it was pretty. I didn’t realize that as I was in a rush this morning. Bought it because it was on Buy 1 Free 1 sale. I would not hesitate to say that this blouse is the free one.

Two hours passed and everyone had to leave. NJ sent me back home and I changed to my comfy clothes. As I hang my pretty blouse on my bathroom rail, I saw this...

YA ALLAH! I WENT OUT WITH THAT ATTACHED ON MY BLOUSE?
MY PRETTY BLOUSE???

I thought it was safe enough to cut the price tag! I was lucky that this was attached on the inside. Phew. Better check properly next time *wipes sweat*
